More than 20 people have died on Edmonton roads this year – excessive speed is a factor in a more than half the deaths.

Fines. Suspensions. Charges.

  • Fines starting at $587 for Traffic Safety Act violations like stunting.

  • Driver’s license suspensions.

  • Criminal Code charges for dangerous driving can lead to a criminal record.

​

So far this year Edmonton Police have issued:
 

  • 133 charges for dangerous operation

  • 76 tickets for stunting

  • More than 200 violations for excessive speeding of more than 50km/h above the limit.
